Our Story

Soulberry Apothecary was born from a deeply personal desire to create more beauty, comfort, and intention in everyday life.

After experiencing the profound loss of my mother, I found myself needing to make more room for healing, creativity, and reconnecting with my sense of purpose. It was a time that taught me the importance of intentionally caring for myself the best that I could through mental health challenges and leaning further into entrepreneurship. 

That desire for intentionality eventually found its way into another part of my life: the products I used every day.

As I became more conscious of the ingredients I was putting on my skin and bringing into my home, I had already begun moving away from products I once loved from brands like Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works. Products I had enjoyed in my younger years were no longer a good fit for me as my allergen sensitivities changed and I became more thoughtful about the ingredients and fragrances I was choosing.

Then the pandemic and widespread supply shortages brought another unexpected shift. Many of the products I had turned to as more natural alternatives began changing, too. Formulas were reformulated, ingredients became harder to source, and some products from previously trusted clean-beauty brands no longer felt or performed the way they once had. As ingredient lists devolved, I noticed the difference. And when I started reading customer reviews, I realized I wasn’t the only one.

I wanted effective, beautifully crafted home, body and beauty care that gave women like me more options—products made with thoughtfully selected ingredients and natural and/or non-toxic fragrance options.

So, I decided to create what I was looking for.
